family giftUnwrapping the Greatest Gift: A Family Celebration of Christmas by Ann Voskamp

I am so excited to add this book to our family this Advent season.  Ann Voskamp’s way of tracing the lineage of Jesus through the use of the Jesse tree and of intertwining each descendant’s story with your own story because it’s all Jesus’ love story… beautifully poetic and touchingly honest.  With simple family activities and a few thought-provoking questions for each day’s devotional reading, Unwrapping the Greatest Gift digs deep in and brings meaningful understanding of how God carefully crafted each person and piece of Jesus’ whole story, from the beginning of time, to remind you of His unconditional love.  Just for you.  Just for your children.  Just for us all.

What I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE about it is that every single story explains how the story shows God’s love and prepares the way for Jesus.  Every single story tells kids that God loves them because…
