Super Simple Spring Baskets
These baskets are so easy and so fun for kids, and should be really inexpensive for YOU (if you learn a few of my tricks - our flowers were from the $1 clearance rack AND we recycled our hanging baskets & soil).
Cottontail (age 7) and Flopsy (age 3) created three hanging baskets all by themselves, and your kids can do it too!
Materials Needed to make 3-4 hanging baskets:
- Be sure to follow the watering directions on the packaging tags.
- Some plants like sun more than others. So be sure to follow the directions on the tags.
- We used all of the same type of flowers for simplicity's sake, but if you use some flowers that will grow taller than others, keep that in mind as you're planting.
- Make sure you don't over-crowd your basket. Read the tags that should be in your package to figure out how much space your plants will need. If they're too smushed, they won't grow properly and could end up dying because the roots can't spread or get enough water.
